Waiting for You
Shen Zhiyi, a writer struggling with creative block, travels to a remote homestay called “A Small Dwelling in the Mountains” in Fuzhi Mountain, Yucheng, hoping to find inspiration. The owner of the homestay, Jiang Cheng, is a graduate of a prestigious university who gave up a high-paying job to return to his hometown and start a rural revitalization project.
Jiang Cheng’s online advertisement for the homestay gradually attracts several young city dwellers, all of whom are stuck in personal and professional slumps, weary of urban life’s relentless competition and exhausting social dynamics.
At first, conflicts arise among the guests, but as they spend more time together, they begin to open up about their struggles and dreams. In this peaceful haven far from the city’s chaos, they form deep friendships, support each other, and find the courage to confront their pasts.
Through their shared journey, they rediscover themselves, heal, and gather the strength to start anew, finding solace and renewal where the wind blows.
